Monte Cristo Comino Cave

blog

monte cristo cave

This is a hidden lagoon inside a cave. it is between Santa Marija caves and Santa Marija Bay on Comino Island. This is our client’s favorite, due to its hidden location and crystal blue waters. the cave limestone is a darkish maroon color making it even more mysterious. The money cristo cave was used by corsairs and pirates through out the years, later it was also used by smugglers.

The Monte Cristo name comes from the movie starring Jim Caviezel and Henry Cavill, where they found the treasure of Spada hidden in this lagoon

It is possible to access by land , by sea, and also via diving. imalta Boat trips run a private tour to this cave
